Phone scams aimed at patients are becoming more common. Callers may pretend to be Medicare, an insurer, a doctor’s office, or another clinic. The goal is to obtain a Medicare number or other personal information.

Beverly Williams, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in Texas (PSY #40012). She holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology, counseling psychology program, from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in psychology from the same university.

She has more than thirty years of clinical work in university counseling, including Texas Woman’s University, Utah State University, Brown University, Williams College, and the University of Texas at Dallas.

Clinical work includes anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Methods include cognitive behavioral therapy and related evidence-based approaches.
